Stream your Instagram and IGTV videos to televisions connected to a Chromecast device or a cast-enabled smart speaker.
- Ensure that you are connected to the same WiFi network as your cast-enabled device.
- In the Instagram app, navigate to any public video, select the option menu, and choose Copy Link.
- Return to the app, press PASTE, or manually type the profile handle of a public Instagram account.
- Tap the Chromecast icon located in the top-right corner and select your TV or Bluetooth speaker for casting.
- You are now streaming your content!
You can also search for an Instagram account by name to view its top videos. Please note that only videos can be cast.
Key points to consider:
- Ensure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network as your cast devices. Casting is not supported over cellular networks (LTE/3G).
- Ensure your cast devices are powered on to be discoverable by the app.
- You can cast either to a Chromecast-equipped TV or a Cast-enabled smart speaker for playing audio from Instagram/IGTV posts.
